22 November 2010 - KRUGERSDORP - After teacher Juanita Lomax was assaulted by a pupil and tried to cut her wrists in a desperate call for help this week, the Sondag newspaper investigated and discovered that this happened at the Krugersdorp technical high school - where the sonamed 'Slipknot sword killer', the deeply disturbed berserker pupil Morné Harmse had hit the international headlines when he waged a campaign of terror -- killing one pupil and injuring three more in 2008 while wearing a mask from the band Slipknot. It was Juanita Lomax who had held the dying pupil Jacques Pieterse in her arms and consoled him ... and ever since then she has also been the constant target of pupils scorn and a campaign of terror. Moreover the headmaster refuses to disclipline the pupils nor help her deal with her post-traumatic stress which she has since then, suffered from. These events have so horrified the badly-traumatised 31-year-old mathematics teacher Juanita Lomax that she tried to cut her wrist this week. It was a desperate cry for help. Ms Lomax is badly traumatised: one of the Slipknot sword-murderer's victims pupil Jacques Pieterse, had died in her arms. And ever since then she has been the target of verbal and mental abuse by the pupils - and is moreover denied any help by the headmaster Mac Redelinghuys. This week she was viciously scratched by one of the pupils and again, the headmaster failed to disclipline any of the pupils who were terrorising their teacher so constantly. He told her that 'they were products of their circumstances, 'and he wouldn't help support her.
The pupils were in the middle of writing exams and she was alone in her classroom when she cut one of her wrists shortly after she'd been assaulted by a pupil.A colleague came across her, bloodied and desperate.
She had earlier tried to find help for her plight after she was so badly assaulted by a pupil that the scratch marks could be seen days afterwards.
Teachers at the school told the newspaper that the institution 'visibly deteriorated' ever since the deranged young Morné in 2008 had stabbed Jacques Pieterse to death and injured three more, wearing a mask from the Slipknot band, which he always listened to. His defence was that he had been ordered by the devil to do so and had been listening to music by the Slipknot band.

Juanita's husband pastor Andrew Lomax meanwhile is trying to get help for his wife with the gauteng education department and the SAPS.
He even wrote a letter appealing for help from the head of the Democratic Alliance Helen Zille.
However the couple cannot get any help in trying to address Juanita's treatment at the school she had always loved, throughout her life: She was a head-girl at that school herself and matriculated from it.And after she graduated as a teacher she immediate went back there to teach.
After Jacques' murder by Harmse she had visibly changed: she started needing anti-depressants, said her husband.
