31-mei-2012 | Sapa Mrs Cornelia de Wet was arrested on a Carolina farm. allegedly 'for being in possession of unlicensed ammunition and explosives', Mpumalanga police said today
Lt-Col Leonard Hlathi was quoted as saying to The Sowetan newspaper that mrs De Wet was arrested on Wednesday and briefly appeared in a Carolina court, but he could give no further details.“On the issue that she is part of the Boeremag, I can’t confirm that. I also can’t disclose the locality where she is being kept.”
The (Afrikaans-language pro-ANC) Beeld newspaper reported Mrs De Wet was arrested during a police raid on her farm.
"Police suspected Cornelia de Wet, who was pregnant, made her farm available for the promotion of racist indoctrination, according to a police affidavit seen by Beeld." noted SOWETAN.
The police said in a statement ' they had been investigating accusations of terrorism and treason for some time.'
During the raid police confiscated ammunition for shotguns, and R1 and .22 rifles. (QUOTE: It's not known if these were legally registered weapons - the police did not say).
After her appearance in court she was transferred to Middelburg prison.

Cornelia de Wet was also attacked two years ago and a firefight ensued on May 16 2012, she was shot in her leg. This occurred after her wooden house was torched a month earlier. "Somebody is trying to force us off our family farm,' said her brother at the time:

’n Vrou is die naweek op ’n plaas buite Carolina in die been gewond, net meer as ’n maand nadat haar houthuis aan die brand gesteek is.
Me. Cornelia de Wet (32) was omstreeks 12:30 in een van die skaapkrale op die plaas Kwaggafontein toe sy ’n skoot gehoor klap het.
Sy het ’n brandpyn aan haar been gevoel en gesien haar regterkuit bloei.
Haar broer, mnr. Jan de Wet, het gesê hulle vermoed ’n geweerkoeël wat van ver af geskiet is, het sy suster gewond.
Me. De Wet is ná behandeling in die provinsiale hospitaal in Carolina ontslaan.
Volgens haar broer is dit die vyfde keer sedert die brand op die plaas op 17 April dat misdadigers hulle teiken.
Sy en haar dogters, Cornelia (11) en Joey (2), het dié aand in die houthuis geslaap toe sy van die rook wakker geword het.
Sy kon nie die deur oopmaak nie omdat iemand die slot met ’n stuk draad toegebind het.
Toe sy per radio hulp van haar ouers, mnr. Jan en mev. Nelie de Wet, in hul opstal sowat 50 m daarvandaan vra, het die aanvallers op dié twee losgebrand.
’n Oor-en-weer-skietery van byna twee uur het gevolg voordat ander hulp op die plaas opgedaag het.
Mnr. De Wet jr. het gesê sedert die brand is daar verskeie kere by store op die plaas ingebreek en die voertuie op die plaas is onlangs ook beskadig.
“Iemand wil ons van ons familieplaas afdwing, maar ons weet nie wie nie. Ons plaas is die enigste in die hele gebied waarop daar nie ’n grondeis is nie.”
Volgens hom weier die polisie om ’n klag te ondersoek.

“Ons was op die plaas, maar het nie ’n klag geregistreer nie omdat die klaer nie weet wie haar beseer het nie.”
