Louis de La Porte launches complaint with Independent Police Directorate after his firearms were illegally seized by SAPS July 3 2011 - he wants them back...
Pretoria, South Africa. Louis de la Porte writes: 'Five of my Firearms were illegally seized by the South African Police due to their own administrative incompetence on the 3rd of July 2011. In an act of desperation (after all else failed) I lodged a complaint with the Independent Complaints Directorate on the 17th of October 2011 (by hand) and followed up on the 9th of November 2011 (by hand) and I have yet to hear from the Interdependent Complaints Directorate even though the South African Police advocates and enforces Zero Tolerance to Crime and the Illegal Possession of Firearms is a very serious crime indeed.
