KOMATIPOORT FARM FAMILY FIGHT BACK AGAINST VICIOUS GANG -- Somali-pirate style kidnap gangs wearing SANDF-uniforms operate without interference across the Mozambican-South African border – Komatipoort: and are apparently protected by SAPF…
Nov 17 2011 - Letter from a SA farmer to Gunsite.co.za: "On 3 November me and my family became part of the crime statistics in SA. We were attacked at our home on a farm. We are so fortunate that we experienced God's protection that evening. I was shot through the bum, missed my hip bone with mm and my wife was hit by a bullet fired through the door. Luckely it shaved her sholder and did not penetrate. We managed to keep the thugs outside until we could raise alarm, and they fled. We are fortunate to have a very good response from both security companies, and the farming community coordinating through an emergency channel on the radio network. Even the police were quick in their response.. You all are asking: '.where were your weapons at the time of the attack?" . I must answer with my head hanging in shame that they were 'safely in the safe'....that has changed now. I have purchased a Glock 23 last week, it will be a different scenario if there will ever be a next visit from anyone..."

On October 29 2011, HTTP://CENSORBUGBEAR-REPORTS.BLOGSPOT.COM reported that the rugged Lebombo mountains which form the geographical border between South Africa and Mozambique, harbour a fearsome gang of Mozambican, Somali and South African criminals. They call themselves the ‘Ninja Gang’ -- after their preference for chopping off their victims' heads with swords -- and wear the uniforms of the SA National Defence Force. They kidnap and hold for ransom illegal residents, terrorise them, gang-rape them, often decapitate their victims, attack bordering farms inside South Africa, (the green areas) -- and even when South African citizens ( a group of taxi-owners from Komatipoort) captured one of the gang-members named Donald Mohaneli, 32) the SA police service in Komatipoort let this self-admitted Ninja-Gang member go free without charging him for self-admittedly raping a Mozambican woman and robbing a Mozambican man; and for attacking a South African farmer and stealing chickens.

Ferocious Ninjas-Kidnap-Gang in SANDF-uniforms wages reign of terror, decapitate, gang-rape, murder: based in Lebombo mountains. SA border unpatrolled:

CITED sources: Lowvelder newspaper, Nelspruit journalists Christopher de Wet and Rapula Moatshe -- "With the Mozambican town Ressano Garcia now expanding ever-closer to the unpatrolled South African border, a ferocious uniformed gang has turned this into their support base to carry out a reign of terror. The well-organised black gang holds scores of people hostage for ransom, many farmers are being attacked ferociously, two Pakistani men were shot execution style, a woman's head was nearly severed from her body and a Mozambican woman managed to escape after she was gang-raped for more than 10 hours. This is only some of the work of the self-styled, ferocious 'Ninjas gang' which wears SANDF-uniforms, captures people walking across the unpatrolled border, targets white and Asians for murders, and holds them for ransom. It is claimed their uniforms were 'stolen from nearby Macadamia Army Support base'.
A group of black taxi-drivers in Komatipoort which had captured one of them and heard the man confess to raping a woman were forced to hand the man over to the police - who released him after the man was treated at a Bloemfontein hospital.---------- One gang member was captured, the self-admitted Ninja-gang member Donald Mohaneli, 32, was however released by the SA Police Service after treatment in hospital: despite the man admitting that he had attcked a farm, stole some 50 chickens there and had participated in gang-raping a woman from Mozambique.

WORKING METHOD OF THE GANG: The uniformed gang 'coax' illegals crossing the border through the delapidated border fence into surrendering. The gang members are dressed in uniforms of the SA National Defence Force - and then hold them captive in the Lebombo mountains across the border.
"The Ninjas will hold large groups of immigrants who crossed the border hostage in the bush or in mango groves on the ridge of the mountains, and will release one or two of them at a time to collect a ransom before the whole group is released. If they can’t manage to get the required ransom, the hostages are killed," said the source.Their reign of terror conducted on the ridge of the Lebombo Mountains has increased in ferocity over the past few months, the two journalists report."Their attacks on farms, community members and illegal immigrants are becoming more frequent." A local farmer told Lowvelder that the Ninjas gang are mostly Mozambicans but also Somalian and black South African citizens. The Ninjas 'release their captives one or two of them at a time to collect a ransom before the whole group is released. If they can’t manage to get the required ransom, the hostages are killed," said the source. The incident of the Mozambican woman getting raped repeatedly for hours while her boyfriend was forced to watch, happened early last month. Lowvelder spoke to the local taxi driver who helped this couple after their ordeal. He was transporting passengers from Naas to Komatipoort when he saw them near a chicken farm. The two distraught, traumatised people were hiking to Johannesburg. He said both of them were Mozambicans but couldn't say whether they had crossed the border illegally. The taxi-driver said "the woman burst into tears shortly after being picked up. They recounted their traumatic experience of being held hostage at gunpoint for a night, from 22:00 until 09:00 the following day. "They told the driver they were among five people who were held hostage that night. Three of them managed to escape. After hearing her harrowing story, the taxi-driver "took it upon himself to mobilise his fellow drivers at the Tonga taxi rank. They decided to launch an intense search for her attackers and caught three men, but only one was identified as a culprit. They beat up the suspect with sjamboks before he was arrested by the police. According to the driver, the terror caused by the Ninjas is known even to the police, who have been accused of doing little or nothing to help. The man (photographed above after treatment) allegedly confessed to raping the woman and said he had also stolen 40 chickens from a local farmer.
The Ninjas are apparently unemployed and rob people to make a living. The owner of a local resort in Komatipoort also confirmed that a woman was found murdered on his property this weekend. He said her body was found in the corridor between the Kruger National Park fence and the railway lines next to the N4. This narrow corridor was used daily by immigrants to cross illegally and the owner claimed that on some days there were nearly 70 people.During Lowvelder’s investigation, the reason for the influx of illegal immigrants through the border fence became clear, as there was no maintenance or patrols. The investigative team was able to drive for more than 10 kilometres along this entire fence-road, without any sign of soldiers or visible patrols. Permanent entrances - found every couple of metres - were created in the fence with the use of small branches, giving easy access to any foreigner. Lt Col Leonard Hlathi, provincial police spokesman, was not available for comment this past week. The local farmers' association had a meeting on Thursday with local authorities, including border police and SANDF, to find ways to combat the spates of recent farm attacks and to address the problem of the Ninjas. Apparently, no resolution was reached.
