A gang of NINE black men wearing police uniforms and driving an Audi with police lights on, have shot and injured Vereeniging businessman Gary Immelman, 55, with five shots outside his home in Vereeniging.Vereeniging police capt Shado Mashobane said: "we think that they might be reservists, but we need to investigate furthe." The gang of nine men shot 55-year-old Gary Immelman in his chest, abdomen and limbs on Monday. The Beeld reported that the men forced their way into the house, and attempted to blow up a safe while Immelman was out. His wife, who was home at the time, activated the alarm. Immelman rushed home and found the Audi outside. The occupants then opened fire on him, the newspaper reported.Five of the men escaped during a shootout which then followed with police. Mashobane said Immelman was in a stable condition at Union Hospital in Alberton.– Sapa
